I recently became drafted on Dribbble and have now come into having 2 invites to give away. For those of you who don’t know, dribbble is one of the best communities for designers I’ve ever come across and really enjoy the uniqueness of the work, people, and community as a whole. As a new member, it is my goal to draft qualified players to participate. The people I draft will always be on my draftee list, leaving their mark as either a good draft or [hopefully not], a bust.
“Dribbble is show and tell for designers, developers, and other creatives. It allows you to share sneak peeks of your work as ’shots’ – small screenshots of the designs and applications you’re working on.”
Currently, I am really interested in drafting some great icon designers… but being a logo and web guy I am open to other forms of designers. I have had the fortunate opportunity to meet and collaborate with new designers from around the world because of this social design community.
To be considered for an invite, leave a link to your portfolio and a short comment about your design style. After a few days, I’ll review the the portfolios and email the two designers I’d like to have as my draftees. Thanks and good luck!
Join in the discussion now.
All this stuff is mine, please don't steal.
If you steal my work, let me know and I will handsomely reward you with a roundhouse kick to your face.

Hello Sean,
Love your work. Love your site.
We’ve been watching Dribbble for some time now, and although it’s chock full of wonderful design work, we’d like to inject it with a little more process and site architecture stuffs. We think designers/devs have something to gain from seeing more “dirty laundry” in addition to the already-present, almost-gilded lilies.
We’re brand guys, so if you’d like to recruit someone with some logo, strategy and UI chops—we can fill that bill too. Unfortunately, we’re not much help where icons are concerned. We’re looking for those resources as much as you.
Looking forward to your reply. Thanks for offering the community this opportunity.
Warmly,
GP

I’d love to get into Dribbble.
I love to design web sites that are eye catching. Here’s a link to my portfolio → http://avedesign.me/portfolio/
Thanks for the great opportunity you give us : )

I’m a third year Interactive Multimedia Design student from Belfast currently on my placement year.
My main portfolio site is not very current as I’ve been pretty busy with placement this year, but I have put a Dribble(esk) snapshot of my work up here: http://www.silicabox.com/index.php/mini-portfolio/
Dribbble invite would be nice.
June 7, 2010
Dribbble sounds like a very cool idea.
I think i would set up my dribble account under my business then i would be able add more stuff to dribbble from myself and our other various designers that work for us.
Check out our work at http://www.unleashedideas.com
Cheers

Hey Sean,
Loving the new site! Obviously I’m more of a web guy these days but did start out doing logos and icons and print stuff. Anyhow, here is a link to my portfolio which is admittedly in need of an overhaul and update: http://jasonjulien.com I’d love to give previews and get feedback on @dribbble if I win.
Thanks for the opportunity, and we seriously need to hook up sometime since we’re both in A2 land.
Regards, J2

Hi, Sean and thanks for the opportunity to shoot some hoops with you…! Ahem.
My design style is aimed with simplicity, inspired by nature and Japanese design but I’m happy when challenged with some slightly more off-the-wall rebounds too.
I’m a great believer in web standards and accessibility when it comes to the web but in all things design, creating an engaging interface.
Welcome you to find out a bit more about me here; http://www.zenelements.com
Wishing you all the best and keep up the great work!

This is a genius idea. Too bad I am a horrible designer.
If your dribbbling, Im traveling. Maybe I could be a referee?

Hey Sean!
Thanks for sending me a message via twitter, I am definitely still on the hunt for a dribbble invite! Thank you, thank you, thank you for having this giveaway and giving us a chance to try out! It has been depressing on the side lines
I consider myself to be a hybrid of web designer/graphic designer. I have a huge passion for UX design and beautiful typography.
Currently, my website is under construction so I apologize for sending you samples of work this way – but hey, it works right?

In addition to these samples you can check out http://www.youretheyouth.org, my senior web project I am currently working on for school.
Thanks again for having this giveaway
You rock.

I’m a 19 year old, first year, Med School student. I do freelance client work in my spare time. I have never been to a design school or undergone any formal training in this field. So far this is just a hobby and I plan to keep it that way. I don’t intend on deviating from mainstream Medicine.
Design Style & Work : My work mostly centers around around Windows DeskModding. I make original skins for applications like “mPlayer WW”, “CDArtDisplay”, “Samurize” as well as skin ports of Mac counterparts. I have a few wallpapers to my credit; although “Wallow” on my deviantART page is the only released pack, at the moment. I have yet to release the rest; which I will soon.
My design style is majorly minimal. I like to keep it simple, with colours that blend. I like smooth transitions. I hate contrast and gaudy, bulky designs.
I have helped a few of my friends design their sites. I had made a few drafts in PS for http://www.justsaaket.com Unfortunately, my mockups never shaped into reality due to the owner’s limited knowledge of coding and my inability to find time to do it myself. Here are a few previews though http://bit.ly/c9t2oRhttp://bit.ly/97dJTh
The other job was the GalaxyGUI.net site redesign. I designed the logo, site background and a few other elements as a favour for my friend and admin Alexandre Marcondes. http://bit.ly/9sOJI5 The theme was in use since 2009 until early this year when they redesigned it again. I also did an advert for them : http://bit.ly/c4mDZy
My latest work is on my deviantART page http://ipaxy.deviantart.com. The other stuff I mentioned above is mostly rookie work from when I had just started out on PS a couple of years ago. I plan to put up my portfolio site in a couple of months after my final exams. I’ll also be concentrating on icon design in the near future.

Hey Sean, great new site. I love the fresh new color scheme and wide variety of identity kits.
I’d describe myself as a graphic designer, illustrator and photographer. I try to be as original as possible, in my work. I’m new to web, and so don’t create icons, but could always give it a good try.
I do a bit of branding, package design, but more layout and ad generation. I also enjoy writing taglines and creating persuasive copy.

Wonderful!
I’m just an illustrator/typographer biding my time to get into Dribbble. My portfolio is here: http://www.studiolitchfield.com/portfolio (currently not public because some of the projects aren’t released yet) but gives you a good idea oh the kind of stuff I do.
Hoping to get into the game!

well, I use Behance, but why not to try

Hey Sean,
The folio is actually under development at the moment, so you’ll have to settle with something as archaic as an old non-updated portfolio pdf
I do digital, print and motion.

Sean,
Thanks for the consideration. I am still learning a lot about design – currently in my senior year of study – and would love to be a part of dribbble to grow and learn from other designers.
My design work somewhat entails logo and Web design, but is usually the broader category of overall branding – from logo to related print materials, apparel, advertisements, etc. Specifically, I most often design for social innovation/cause-related projects. Check out my portfolio of projects on my Behance.net profile at the following link:

Thanks!

Hi Sean,
Thanks so much for the opportunity. Dribble is an awesome sight and I would be pretty stoked to be a part of it!
My design style is pretty clean and straightforward, but my logo style, which is most applicable to the icon theme is a little more illustrative. COLOR is my strength on all accounts.
Please take a look & thanks again! –> http://pinkinkdesignshop.com/docs/portfolio/logos/logo03.html

I enjoy illustration very much so I plan to put it alll up on dribbble if I could get in ofcourse! My recent works are mostly for this site: http://www.mix.fm/
As for design styles, honestly I’m still searching for one that I really love but as of now, I’m trying pretty much as I could on any styles that I find interesting.

Thanks for a chance!
I do UI and Website designs.

Hi Sean,
Design-multitasking is what describes my style the best. I love nothing more than exploring all the (digital, mostly) ways to tackle with a concept, brand or story.
My main goal is to be able to deliver immersive and striking experiences, from the simpliest logo to complex websites.
Please take a look there

Hope I will hear from you soon

Sean –
My design style derives from classic Gestalt influenced principles and is one that is effectively communicative and smart through the most minuscule of elements.
I strive to provide a viable solution through a creative, original approach, that is smart, quirky, and distinct.

My style is amorphous. At times typographic, illustrated and/or conceptual, it adapts to the project.

Hi, I’m Oliver, thank you for shooting me a tweet about your giveaway.
I love illustrating. I also design for the web and in fact I also do a slight bit of icon illustration, however, this is mainly for my illustration projects.
My illustration style is quite angled/triangular and often portrays people – I refine my works with contemporary angles, some minimalism and futurism styles. My style inspirations are many, eg. Mark Weaver.
Please check it out here: http://bit.ly/bn4a7x
All the best and liking your icon work very much indeed!

Giving it a shot after giving it some thought. It absolutely doesn’t hurt to try, right? I don’t have a formal online portfolio, though, so here’s my… other one…

Yeah I’d love to be added to the Dribble community, such a fun-loving collection of graphics and logo designers. My portfolio site is the link I’ve added to this comment, but you can also punch in Jake Rocheleau into Google to find my other accounts all across the web.
I took down my previous portfolio site as I’m launching a few web ventures over the next few months, so I needed to change my image from a freelancer to an internet entrepreneur, of sorts. Either way love your work, following you on Twitter as well

Hello Sean,
Not sure if it’s to late but if not here is a link to my portfolio: http://www.oakesdesign.ca
As you can see I mostly specialize in web design and development. My style is simple and approachable.
If I don’t make your draftees list this time don’t be afraid to consider me for future invites you may or may not want to hand out
Thanks,
Colin

ZOMG! I would love, love, love to get an invite to Dribbble. My portfolio is located at http://www.trotterdesigns.com and I have more materials that I can send on request (UI design, iPhone dev, webapps, dashboards, etc.).
I work fulltime for a design firm as a Creative Director, I own a print/marketing studio (http://www.trotterdesigns.com), I blog at http://blog.steventrotter.com and I am the prinicipal designer & co-owner for a mobile dev studio (http://www.corvusmobile.com).
My passion is UI development and I also love doing print work when I get a chance to. I LOVE working in vector format and have been using Illustrator since version 4.
Thanks for considering me for an invite! I have been waiting for an invite for a long time now. I would love to become part of the Dribbble community not only for the interaction/community, but also for the amazing feedback from respected designers so that I can continue to grow.
